Angry Anderson enters the political fray
Blog

I don't normally include ads from political parties on my blog, but when a known celeb like Angry Anderson takes a stand like this one - I did a double take.
The other reason this interested me is because it has an indirect bearing on some work The Next Level Consulting Services did with the Hurlstone Agricultural High School community where one of the allied issues was the route and land use around the proposed SW Rail link to service 100,000 blocks in the NSW Government's own designated SW growth zone.
Abbott faces uphill battle. Reading the data beneath the recent poll headlines
Blog

There is an old maxim about not believing everything you read in newspapers.
How is it that commentary on Newspoll results on Saturday prompt a headline “ALP fights back in key marginals” while the Galaxy result on Sunday prompts “Bloodbath, Queensland to punish Labor”?
Both polls were taken at around the same time and a number of the seats sampled (Newspoll 17 and Galaxy 20) were common and the numbers polled per seat similar.
The short answer is that we need to ignore the headlines and look at the data. The Coalition is not about to win in a bloodbath – not according to these polls. On the polls, commonsense and history, Tony Abbott has the uphill battle between now and Saturday’s election.

If thousands can sign it might make the Government actually listen. The site hasn't been officially launched, but it is getting some attention already...
A news story to remember - Auditor General on the BER
Blog

This report from back in May might well be worth remembering when the Government releases the report of the handpicked investigation into the BER. The Auditor General highlights flaws in the BER including belling the cat on the claim it was for jobs. He says the systems are so bad they can't verify if or how many jobs the program created and fewer than 1/3 of Principals were ever consulted on projects.
